U.S. Navy
CVN-70, U.S.S. Carl Vinson
The Carl Vinson was my first ship after Naval Nuclear Power training. The U.S.S. Carl Vinson was in refueling complex overhaul during this time period and I learned much about maintenance, system testing, QA, calibrations, work controls, lock-out tagout, logistics, asset management/tracking and importantly what the inside of many of these systems actually looked like.
CVN-69, U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower
The Eisenhower is where I really cut my teeth in leadership. I started out as a work center supervisor and when I departed the Navy was the Reactor Propulsion Leading Petty Officer. I requalified senior in rate, served three deployments, and two shipyard availabilities.
DoD Navy Civilian
As a DoD Navy civilian my primary focus is EMC/EMI as it relates to EMP. I also perform data acquisition automation and software development.
